A Place to Talk for Babies Cover

A Place to Talk for Babies

Supporting young children's language development

Getting the environment right inside and out for babies is key, especially as they make their first transitions from home into a new environment. The photographs, case studies and principles in this book will help you to make sure that your setting really supports transition, nurtures relationships, strengthens the connection with home and reflects babies' preferred contexts for learning.

Educators are prompted to consider not only the vital importance of how they interact with the babies in their care, but also where and how to create enabling environments that will encourage effective communication from the start.
