About the Authors

Helen Moylett

Helen Moylett is an independent early years consultant, trainer and writer in the United Kingdom. She has been an early childhood, primary and university teacher as well as head of an early childhood setting. She was involved in developing the UK early years curriculum, the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), and was the national lead for the Every Child a Talker programme. She served as an expert adviser to the Tickell EYFS review and co-wrote the revised EYFS Development Matters guidance.

Anni McTavish

Anni McTavish is an early childhood creative arts consultant, writer and trainer, working across the United Kingdom. With a background in the arts, psychotherapy and education, she has had over 20 years’ experience in the early years sector and is an Associate of Early Education. She also leads songs, story-making and movement sessions.

Di Chilvers

Di Chilvers is an independent consultant in early childhood education and has worked in the early years sector for over 35 years. Originally trained as a nursery nurse, then as a teacher, Di has an MA in Early Childhood Education and is working towards a qualification in psychology. She continues to be fascinated by the ways in which young children develop, think and learn.
